Adam was admitted to practice following the completion of his Articles of Clerkship in early 2008. During his time as a solicitor, he has appeared in all Victorian and some Federal courts as well as in a range of tribunals and coercive commissions of inquiry, the latter both as Counsel Assisting and on behalf of clients.

Adam also continues to pursue academic interests, principally in relation to coercive powers, covert investigation and evidence, human rights and the criminal law more generally.  He has published a range of papers, presented at conferences and is currently undertaking a Master of Laws course at the University of Melbourne.  In early 2011, he was also a visiting scholar at the ARC Centre of Excellence in Policing and Security as part of the inaugural Crime and Justice Summer Scholars program at Griffith University.

Outside of law, Adam tries to re-read Dickens’ Bleak House every winter, perpetually avoids weeding his garden and regrets never having seen the Pogues play live.
